Insurance can often be an overlooked thing when developing a working relationship. Often, you will book a carer or support Professional through the platform, get to know them and have many ongoing bookings.
It is important to keep bookings managed through and processed by the tappON platform. This is to ensure that both client and Support Professional are covered by tappON’s Insurance Policy - this means that if something was to happen during a shift, both parties are covered (Please refer to the list of excluded activities for more information.)
Sometimes it can be tempting to move to a private deal and pay cash or bank transfer at a lower price, but it is important to remember all bookings that are made outside of the tappON platform are not covered by our Insurance Policy. This means that if either client or support professional is hurt or something unfavourable happens, a Support Worker may be held financially liable.
We want to ensure all users of the platform have a safe and secure experience when booking and providing support services with tappON. Always check that the booking is going to be through tappON to ensure coverage in the event of something happening.
